The court requires Mediation prior to attending the final hearing in all Family Law proceedings. Divorce can be messy as emotions run high. A common threat attorneys hear when parties let their emotions run the show is that parties will “just let the Judge decide.” Unfortunately, parties often find that neither party is happy with the court’s decision. The court will apply the law blindly which often results in an order that neither party likes. Parties are happier if they are able to reach agreements outside of court. This is where mediation comes in.
Mediation is the process where a neutral mediator assists the parties in negotiating their agreements. If the parties are represented by counsel, the attorney will advise the client of their legal rights during this process. Miller Family Law, LLC™ will fight to protect you and your goals.
